With over 15 years of experience in stage lighting design for theatre, Will Perkins has had the pleasure of working on a variety of productions, from Shakespeare to the latest musicals. His passion for creating vibrant, engaging looks, which encapsulate the atmosphere of every scene, drives every aspect of his work and can be seen from start to finish of productions he acts as lighting designer.
Will specialises in offering a full lighting design service from the initial consultations through to design concepts, plan drawing, rehearsals as well as programming of all lighting cues and effects.
Full Design Services
From conceptualisation to execution, Will works closely with the production team to create a lighting design that enhances the storytelling and overall aesthetic of the performance, ensuring set, costume, and performers look their best.
Consultation
Providing expert advice tailored to each production’s specific needs, Will ensures that the creative team’s vision comes to life and is enhanced through effective lighting design.
Custom Drawings and Plans
Will prides himself on producing detailed lighting plans that serve as a blueprint for technical teams, making it easier and quicker to implement the lighting design as it is intended. Will is also available to draw set plans and 3D renders to help the production team understand how the stage will look.
Programming
Will is also a lighting programmer and programs his own lighting cues in advance through visualisation and during on-site plotting sessions, ensuring the performance is perfectly and sophisticatedly lit.
